Asthma is one of the most common diseases in the United States and nearly half of all American households include at least one sufferer. The prevalence of asthma has increased significantly since the 1980s and is currently estimated to affect approximately 20 million people. What is not well-known is that over half of this group suffers from the most common form of asthma, called ?allergic asthma.?

For people with allergic asthma, their own homes can become hazardous to their health. Common household allergens such as dust mites, mold, and pet dander can trigger asthma symptoms that can interfere with the most routine aspects of life, like sleep, work, and play. Being aware of the allergens that trigger your symptoms and reducing allergens in the home can help you better manage your asthma.

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) Maryland-Greater Washington, DC Chapter invites you to a FREE seminar.

Andrew Dan-Jumbo, of TLC?s While You Were Out, has joined forces with AAFA in their “Sleep Work Play? at Home education program to provide a special opportunity for you to learn about ways to improve the management of your allergic asthma.
